Our ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, clinic and support staff are recognized by patients and primary care physicians for providing kind, caring, ethical, efficient and cost-effective eye care.

In further recognizing that medicine is not entirely contained as a business, we are involved in the communities we serve by supporting activities and by providing educational and other services to patients and medical professionals. We will continue to provide care to Third World nations, train ophthalmic technicians and do research and other investigations which provide us with leading-edge knowledge and technology. North Idaho Eye Institute has been providing exceptional eye care since 1966 when Dr. Toyama started his ophthalmology practice in Coeur d' Alene. Currently we have six Board Certified or Board Eligible ophthalmologists and one optometrist to provide you with exceptional and compassionate eye care, from routine exams to highly specialized procedures.

Coeur d' Alene Optical is a comprehensive optical provider dedicated to customer service. North Idaho Cataract & Laser Center is a AAAHC and Medicare approved ambulatory surgery center dedicated to surgical excellence in a compassionate atmosphere.
