Tad Buckland, M.D. began his general ophthalmology practice with North Idaho Eye Institute in 2007. Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Buckland went to medical school at Boston University School of Medicine and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Albany Medical Center Hospital in Albany, New York. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Buckland practices comprehensive ophthalmology (including cataracts, glaucoma, and eyelid procedures) with a special interest in medical treatment of retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetes, and vein occlusions.

Outside of the office, Dr. Buckland enjoys skiing, mountain and road biking, and exploring the many outdoor activities Couer d’Alene has to offer with his wife and young son.
