North Idaho Cataract & Laser Center North Idaho Cataract & Laser Center offers surgical excellence in a compassionate atmosphere. Our excellence was recently recognized by our national accreditation with AAAHC (The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc.). North Idaho Cataract & Laser Center is an ambulatory surgery center devoted exclusively to offering surgical eye care with the utmost attention to your comfort and safety ...as well as time and cost savings for your eye surgery requirements. Our skilled and trusted surgeons have performed over 20,000 cataract surgeries in our out-patient surgery center. They use a small incision that is self healing and does not need sutures. When the cataract is removed, an intraocular lens, known as an I-O-L, is inserted. Our surgeons offer a full line of I-O-L lenses designed to correct a range of vision problems from monofocal to multifocal - near vision through distance. Cataract surgery takes about 30 minutes and patients typically stay in our surgery center three hours. Patients tell us the procedure is comfortable and the overall experience is pleasant and life changing. Mission Trips to other countries: The surgeons and staff of North Idaho Cataract and Laser Center travel regularly to Mexico and Central America to provide eye surgery to impoverished people who are often blind with dense cataracts. In the United States, most people can afford the routine service before cataracts render them unable to see. In the rural areas of Mexico and Central America people travel days to seek the help they will receive from our mission team. Pediatric eye surgery is also performed by Dr. StormoGipson.
Drs. StormoGipson,
Parden
and Moss head our surgical medical mission team.
